Her eyes drew him to her
Like a moth seeking oblivion
The mirth that played across her face

She moved like a feral creature
No wasted motions, Grace incarnate
If he only knew her heart shipped a beat
Every time she dared look at him

Her grace was born of fear
Fear of dropping her cup
Fear of tripping over something in the dark
So she moved very slowly in everything she did
Quoting every poet and Playwright she knew
Trying to make him stay close to her
They were two fools for love both ached for
